October Highlights In BALI - Ubud Readers & Writers Festival 2012
The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) is
one of the largest and most exciting literary festivals in South East
Asia. Our 2012 Festival will take place from 3 – 7 October, and will
feature over 100 Indonesian and international writers, journalists,
publishers and festival directors. As part of the UWRF, the Book Launch
program is always well attended and enjoyed by the audience, locals,
other writers, press and of course, readers.
The UWRF is one of Asia's leading contemporary
literary events. Since its inception in 2004, the UWRF has successfully
delivered 8 major Festivals, which have featured the work of more than
1100 different artists and writers from over 100 countries. The UWRF
also produces associated publications, supporting public programs and
specialised education activities for students and school groups. The
event and most UWRF programs are presented ticketed as well as free to
the public.
Some famous writer from all over the world is planning to come
such as Bosnia, Sri Lanka, Burma, Kashmir, Pakistan, The
Congo and Iran and hopefully will participate on the most occasions
during five days of conversation, readings, workshops and performance.
