Island surprise ( pulau kaget )
Shocked is a delta island located in the middle of the Barito river included within the administrative district Tabunganen, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan. Startled Island is located near the mouth of the Barito river. Startled Island has been designated as a nature reserve based on the Decree. Minister of Agriculture. 788/Kptsum11/1976 with area 85 ha.
The natural condition is quite critical of the island due to the felling of trees, especially trees rambai rice is a source of food for bekantan (Nasalis Larvatus). Proboscis Monkey mascot fauna of South Kalimantan province. Startled Island is a habitat for the long nose monkey (bekantan) and several species of birds. Startled island region is also one tourist attraction located in the forest areas in Barito Kuala District.
